TutorialsTutorials present an opportunity for leading researchers and practitioners to promote relevant aspects of engineering interactive computing systems. They will be selected by a panel of referees and will be held only if they attract the required minimum number of participants. Tutorials will be chosen on the basis of the quality of presentation and the value to the audience. Please note that tutorial submissions may not be anonymous. Tutorial submissions include two PDF files: a 2-page proposal and a 2-page extended abstract for the proceedings in the SIGCHI publications format http://www.sigchi.org/chipubform. The proposal should contain the title of the tutorial, a description of the aims and goals, the format (half-day or full-day), intended audience (young/senior researchers/practitioners), tutor's background (including previous events in which this or a similar tutorial was given), content outline, and a 300 word abstract for the advance program. Only tutorials with at least six participants paying the associated fee by the early registration deadline will take place at the conference. Instructions to AuthorsAll accepted papers will be published in the ACM SIGCHI proceedings of EICS 2011 as well as in the ACM Digital Library. Papers and Late Breaking Results are subjected to a blind review process: the submitted copy should have all authors’ names and affiliations removed, and should avoid any obvious identifying features. While authors should leave citations to their own relevant work unanonymized, they should reference it in a way that doesn’t readily identify them as the authors. For example use “Prior work by [ref]” instead of “In our prior work.” Accepted papers will be included in the final proceedings and programme only if at least one author has paid the conference registration fee. Only workshops and tutorials with at least six participants paying the associated fee by the early registration deadline will take place at the conference. Both long paper and LBR submissions will have a rebuttal phase, which will allow authors to provide clarifications for the reviewers in a short text. All submissions must be prepared according to the standard SIGCHI publications format (http://www.sigchi.org/chipubform). The maximum length is:
You have to use http://precisionconference.com/~sigchi for submitting papers. (Create an account. Select "new submissions" and choose one of the options for EICS2011 you will find on that page). |
