La Ville Rose
EICS 2027 is the nineteenth international ACM SIGCHI conference devoted to engineering interactive computing systems and their user interfaces, addressing one or more software quality factors, such as usability, user experience, reliability, security, etc.
EICS covers all stages of the engineering life cycle of interactive systems, from inception, requirements, and design to specification, coding, validation, verification, deployment, and maintenance. The conference focuses on models, languages, notations, methods, techniques, and tools for designing, developing, validating, and verifying interactive systems. It brings together researchers and practitioners from design, HCI, software engineering, requirements engineering, software development, modeling, and programming. EICS has a long tradition of advancing rigorous research at the intersection of user interface design, software engineering, and computational interaction.
EICS 2027 will take place at the Amphitheatre Herbrand - IRIT (Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse), located on the campus of the University of Toulouse, France. As the premier event hall of this computer science research institute, the auditorium serves as the academic heart of the campus. With public transport links, this venue provides an inspiring, accessible, and comfortable environment for the global human-computer interaction and engineering community to connect, share innovations, and collaborate.
Toulouse takes its nickname from the warm terracotta brick that lines its centuries-old facades, the same colour that runs through the EICS 2027 identity. France's fourth-largest city combines the energy of 130,000 students, the precision of Europe's aerospace engineers, and the character of a UNESCO-listed medieval centre.
At the heart of the city is the Place du Capitole. Its neoclassical Capitole building inspired the EICS 2027 mark, and the square has brought together thinkers, builders, and curious minds for centuries.
"Toulouse, surprising & welcoming. A city of heritage and a land of adventure."
