Submissions

Submissions are solicited in the following categories:

Research Papers

Research paper submissions (10 pages) should describe substantial contributions of novel ongoing work that has produced advanced results including validation of results. Accepted submissions will be presented in the main conference pro-gram, published in the conference proceedings, and authors may be considered for an additional live demonstration in the conference demonstration session. Notice that papers must be submitted using the SIGCHI publication format: http://www.sigchi.org/chipubform.

Late Breaking Results

Late breaking results submissions (6 pages) should provide a short report on relevant work in progress. Accepted submissions will be presented in the main conference program and published in the conference proceedings. The conference program committee will decide if accepted submissions are to be presented as a short talk or as a poster. It is important to note that late breaking results should be submitted as camera-ready papers. Papers must be submitted using the SIGCHI publication format: http://www.sigchi.org/chipubform.

Demonstrations

Demonstration submissions (6 pages) should describe cutting-edge systems not described in paper submissions, such as a demonstration of a design or development tool or technique. Demonstration submissions should summarize the system's significance and its performance and should include at least two screen shots. Accepted submissions will be published in the conference proceedings and their systems demonstrated in the conference demonstration session. Papers must be submitted using the SIGCHI publication format: http://www.sigchi.org/chipubform.

Doctoral Consortium

Doctoral Consortium submissions (4 pages) should present a PhD thesis topic motivated by aims and goals, supported by some work in-progress and that present original, sound, and advanced results in order to address a well-defined problem. The submission should be accompanied with a free-form CV of the PhD candidate. Accepted submissions will be presented during a special session dedicated to the Doctoral Consortium and authors will be invited to present a poster of their work during a session during the main conference. Tutorials

Tutorials present an opportunity for leading researchers and practitioners to promote relevant aspects of engineering interactive computing systems. They will be selected by a panel of referees and will be held only if they attract the required minimum number of participants.

Tutorials will be chosen on the basis of the quality of presentation and the value to the audience. Please note that tutorial submissions may not be anonymous. Tutorial submissions include two PDF files: a 2-page proposal and a 2-page extended abstract for the proceedings in the SIGCHI publications format http://www.sigchi.org/chipubform. The proposal should contain the title of the tutorial, a description of the aims and goals, the format (half-day or full-day), intended audience (young/senior researchers/practitioners), tutor's background (including previous events in which this or a similar tutorial was given), content outline, and a 300 word abstract for the advance program.
